Logan Square or California to Division, then a 10-minute walk south. The whole trip is usually 15–20 minutes door to door.
The 56 Milwaukee bus runs diagonally from the square toward the studio; hop off near Chicago & Damen and walk five minutes.
10–12 minutes down Western or Milwaukee outside rush hour. Free street parking on Hoyne and Erie almost any time.
A 15-minute ride down the Milwaukee bike lanes — the route half of Logan Square already commutes on.
Logan Square has one of the densest concentrations of musicians and creative professionals in the city — people who already think in records and setlists. From here we see two kinds of students: players who want to get serious about jazz or songwriting, and adults restarting after years away from the instrument.
Lessons are private — one student, one teacher, 50 minutes per session. Pricing runs from a single lesson ($125) up to the Semester Pack ($1,600 for 16). The most common starting point is the 4-Lesson Pack at $450, four lessons over four to eight weeks to see if the fit’s right.
The easiest first step for piano is the $25 trial lesson — thirty minutes at the studio piano, no commitment. For voice, start with a free 15-minute intro call and we’ll figure out the right starting point together.
Usually 15–20 minutes door to door: Blue Line from Logan Square or California to Division plus a 10-minute walk, or a 10–12 minute drive down Milwaukee or Western.
Yes, adult beginners are the studio’s most common student. Lessons are built around the music you actually want to play from the first session, whether you’ve never touched a key or you’re coming back after years away.
A 30-minute piano trial is $25. After that, a single 50-minute lesson is $125, and packs bring the rate down: $112.50 per lesson in the 4-pack, $106.25 in the 8-pack, and $100 in the 16-lesson Semester Pack. All pack credits are valid one year from purchase.
“He always provides repertoire that matches your current level while still challenging you to grow technically and musically. Excellent at guiding students through improvisation in a way that feels approachable and rewarding.”
“He’s done an amazing job at building my skills and understanding from the ground up. He paces what I am learning very well so that it can feel challenging but doable.”
“Nicholas was my daughter’s voice teacher… For her, this meant audition preparation for musical theatre and choir, but also allowing her to celebrate her love of Taylor Swift. He’s very perceptive at quickly getting to know a student as a unique individual.”
