By booking a lesson, purchasing a flex pack, or enrolling in a semester with Music with Nick, you agree to these terms. They cover scheduling, payment, cancellation, and what happens in the unlikely event something goes wrong.
Lessons are 50 minutes, one-on-one, in person at the Ukrainian Village studio or online via Zoom. Single lessons are $125 and require payment at booking. Flex 4-Packs ($450) are purchased upfront and redeemed against individual lessons. Semester enrollment is $100 per lesson (16 lessons), billed $400 every 4 weeks on the semester’s common billing dates or $1,550 prepaid.
Payment is processed through Stripe. We accept all major cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Link, and ACH.
Enrolling in a semester reserves your regular weekly lesson time for the whole term. Tuition is $100 per lesson, billed $400 every 4 weeks or $1,550 prepaid. You can join mid-semester anytime, paying $100 per remaining scheduled lesson to the next billing date.
The first-month guarantee: if it’s not working within your first four lessons, tell us and you owe nothing more — you keep only the first $400 payment (prepaid students are refunded $1,150).
Withdrawing after the guarantee window: lessons already taken are re-billed at the single-lesson rate ($125) and the remainder refunded (never below $0). For installment students, the current 4-week cycle is non-refundable; future cycles are canceled.
Make-ups: two per semester, booked into the published make-up dates. Make-ups expire at semester’s end. A missed lesson can convert to a 30-minute video check-in that week when you travel. Make-up dates are a courtesy of enrollment, not a stored credit.
Studio closures: published no-lesson weeks and holiday closures are already accounted for in the 16-lesson count; you’re never billed for a closure. If we cancel a lesson outside those dates, you choose a make-up date or a credit toward your next cycle.
Payments: autopay via card on the billing dates (prepay by bank transfer or card). If a payment fails, we retry automatically; lessons pause after 10 days unpaid and your slot is released after 30.
Full plain-English details are on the How Enrollment Works page.
Flex 4-Pack and single-lesson credits are valid for one year from the date of purchase, booked from open times without a reserved slot. Unused credits expire at the end of that year. We don’t prorate or refund expired credits. Flex credits are unaffected by enrolling — use them anytime.
Credits are non-transferable between students and have no cash value.
Life happens. We try to be reasonable.
To reschedule, use the link in your Acuity confirmation email or contact Nick directly.
Semester enrollment: covered by the first-month guarantee and withdrawal terms above.
Flex packs: if you’ve purchased a pack and haven’t used any credits, you can request a full refund within 14 days of purchase. After 14 days, unused credits can be refunded at the per-lesson rate of $125 (i.e., the “volume discount” doesn’t apply retroactively if you cancel early).
Used credits are non-refundable.
If we have to cancel a lesson on our end (illness, emergency), the credit is restored fully and we’ll work to reschedule promptly.
Students under 18 require a parent or guardian to make the booking and to be the payment account holder. For in-person lessons with younger students (under 14), a parent or guardian is welcome to remain present in the studio or in the reception area; in either case, students should arrive and leave with a parent / guardian present.
The studio is a private, professional space. Inappropriate behavior, harassment, or any conduct that makes Nick or other students uncomfortable will result in the immediate end of lessons and a refund of unused credits.
Nick reserves the right to decline or discontinue lessons with any student for any reason.
Music lessons involve repetitive physical motion, vocal use, and the handling of instruments and equipment. By taking lessons, you acknowledge the inherent risks of musical practice and release Music with Nick from liability for injury or damage that may result from normal participation.
This site and its content are provided “as is.” We make no warranties about the accuracy of pricing, scheduling, or other information beyond what’s confirmed at the time of purchase.
We may update these terms occasionally. Material changes will be communicated to active students by email at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued enrollment after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
